Destination weddings are becoming more common. There are many reasons why couples choose to get married abroad, such as the wedding destination itself, to avoid conflicting family members or maybe to be able to invite all of their friends and family. The great thing about marrying abroad, is that everyone gets a holiday! You do need to give people plenty of time to be able to either save for it, or book time off work. Remember not to feel offended if people decline the invite – they may have other holiday plans or it could just be too expensive.

Generally, there is a lot of excitement when deciding on a destination wedding location. The couple will need to consider things like the weather and the distance from the guests. Some people may prefer a tropical location like Hawaii or Fiji while others might choose somewhere in Europe like Spain, Greece or Turkey.
The destination wedding abroad has become a trend in the past few years. Couples are opting for this type of wedding because it is different and offers an experience to remember for a lifetime. A destination wedding abroad can be in the form of a city break, honeymoon or even as part of a second or third honeymoon. Planning such weddings can be challenging, but it also offers benefits such as savings on accommodation and travel. With so many countries to choose from, you’ll never run out of options for your wedding.

A beach wedding is a beautiful, natural setting that can be very romantic. The scenery is breathtaking and the sand feels great underfoot. No need for expensive shoes here! A sun-kissed wedding on the beach will be a day or memories for everyone to cherish forever.
There is a bit of a dilemma for a bride taking her wedding dress on a plane. If you are a bride-to-be, chances are you’ve been agonising over the decision of whether to take your wedding dress on the plane or not. Many airlines allow passengers to bring one carry on and one personal item onboard with them, but that doesn’t mean it’s always easy finding space in both categories for your dress! Make sure you have fully researched your airline and what the best options are. The airlines may charge an additional fee for transporting the gown with their company’s baggage handlers. It will probably best to pack the dress in the suitcase and have it checked in to the hold. Just remember to make sure you are allowed to take more bags than just one!
You can buy a garment bag from most wedding retailers and wrap your dress up in that before you place it into luggage. This will help to avoid any additional charges from airlines. It is also important to remember that you will need to take off any jewellery and/or accessories before packing it away in your suitcase or garment bag because these items could potentially damage the fabric of the gown when in the hold. Make sure there are no liquids in the same case, and nothing at all that can damage it. Of course, if you are thinking of a less traditional dress, this is a moot point!

You could have a party back at home once you are married, to include the people that weren’t able to come. Have a slideshow playing of all your wedding clips. The party could be themed to your destination, too. This way everyone still feels included and gets to share your special day.
